Maya Ruins and Ecology in the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico
A Travel Course for the Students of Professor Richard Heller - Albright College, Reading, Pennsylvania

This ten day course is designed for college level students. Traveling around and through the Yucatan Peninsula, the course will explore a variety of ruins, modern villages, and ecological environments. Ancient Maya history, culture, and sciences will be studied both in the ruins and through evening lectures along the way. The course will begin and end along the beaches of Quintana Roo. Course work at Albright before the trip and student presentations afterwards will be required of all attending students.

Jan 9, Saturday: Arrival
Students fly into Cancun and meet MEC staff at the airport. Private transport brings the group to Playa del Carmen. That evening, they'll attend a brief orientation meeting before and the first lecture on Ancient Maya History.
