Maya Ruins, Culture, and Ecology of the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico
A Travel Course for the Students of Professor Timothy Brauch - Manchester College

This thirteen day course is designed for college level students. Traveling in a wide circle around and through the Yucatan Peninsula, the course will explore a variety of ruins, modern villages, and ecological environments. Ancient Maya history, culture, and sciences will be studied both in the ruins and through evening lectures along the way. The course will begin and end along the beaches of Quintana Roo.

Jan 9, Monday: Arrival
Students fly into the Cancun airport at 2:05pm and meet MEC staff at the airport. Private transport brings the group to the beach community of Playa del Carmen. That afternoon they'll attend a brief orientation meeting before getting a chance to explore Playa's 5th Avenue.
