Inca Astronomy, Ruins, and Culture in Cuzco, the Sacred Valley, and Machu Picchu - Peru
A travel course led by Archaeologist Christopher Powell for the students of Dr. Dan Miller at Millikin University

This nine day course and lecture series will bring participants to Peru and up into the heartland of South America's greatest ancient empire. Day trips to ruins and evening lectures will illuminate anicent Inca history, archaeoastronomy, mathematics, and architecture. Cuzco, former capital of the Inca Empire, will be the course's homebase, with overnight trips to Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley.
